Florida State defensive back Asante Samuel Jr. has declared for the 2021 NFL draft. He also has opted out for the remainder of the 2020 season. The play-making junior started all 8 games at cornerback for FSU this season.

During his Florida State career, Samuel grabbed 4 interceptions, started 32 games, and had 95 total tackles. In the 2020 season opener, Samuel had 2 interception versus Georgia Tech. As a consensus four-star recruit, Samuel signed with FSU as part of the 2018 recruiting class from St. Thomas Aquinas.
