Florida State announced this afternoon that freshman guard Amaya Brown is lost for the season due to a right knee injury suffered in FSU’s come from behind victory over Virginia Tech yesterday. Brown fell to the floor after her knee buckled in a non-contact situation when she was executing the trapping defense that helped get FSU back in the game.
This would be an awful injury for anyone but it is especially cruel in this case. Brown suffered an ACL injury in her left knee in high school. She worked extremely hard to recover from it.
