No. 12 FSU basketball needed overtime to get by Virginia Tech for the second time in less than two weeks Thursday.
The win propelled them to the ACC Tournament semifinals against No. 2 Virginia (29-2, 16-2 ACC). It’s a game FSU basketball should be looking for revenge as the Cavaliers easily handled the Noles on their home court in January.
The final score was not indicative of how much better Virginia was at the time. However, some time has passes and the Noles are playing much better basketball compared to that time frame.
That was the first conference game of the season and of course the Noles started (1-4) in ACC play.
