For much of the last two seasons, there has been a battle between member schools in the ACC over whether or not the league should go to a nine game schedule for football. A vote to do so was stricken down several years ago, but with the league now having their own TV network, the money train seemed to point in the direction of things changing.
As it turns out, a conference call took place on Friday between the league and school members…and absolutely nothing was decided, according to NBC Sports’ College Football Talk:
“ACC athletic directors remained deadlocked Friday on the league’s future football scheduling model and delayed resolution, perhaps until October’s annual fall meeting,”David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press wrote.
