There are now 70 days left until Florida State kicks off its 2016 season, bringing us to spotlight the No. 70 jersey in FSU history. There is a trend with the No. 70 as offensive linemen trump the number.
Guard Del Williams, who wore No. 70 from 1964 to 1966, was named to the Second Team All-America by the AP, Newspaper Enterprise, and United Press following the 1966 season. Williams had been regarded as one of the best Seminoles to ever play by the Tallahassee Democrat, earning a spot in the FSU Football Hall of Fame in 1982.
