Sometimes gaining a new commitment isn’t as important as securing an existing pledge, and that’s precisely what happened for Florida State following Thursday night’s Under Armour All-America Game.
As I wrote yesterday, the Seminoles missed out on gaining a commitment from blue-chip receiver Arjei Henderson, but there appears to remain a number of ins and outs to that story. However, five-star cornerback commit Akeem Dent (5’11, 180) issued a major statement following the game, one that bodes very well for the ’Noles.
According to Adam Lichtenstein of the Sun Sentinel, Dent commented after the contest on his recruitment: “It’s over; it’s all over,” he said.
