Florida State (2-9, 1-7 ACC) improved to 62-12-1 all-time on Homecoming, taking down the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (1-11 FCS) 41-7 on Saturday.
In his first-ever start under center, quarterback Luke Kromenhoek threw for the second-most touchdowns by a true freshman in FSU history (three), one of which being a 71-yarder to Ja’Khi Douglas that stands as the longest of the season for the Seminoles.
On the defensive side, the Seminoles shut down Charleston Southern’s rushing attack by holding them ot just 57 yards (2 per rush) and came within the final minute of the game of securing the program’s first shutout since 2015.
