Florida State (17-6) took the series from Notre Dame (9-12) 3-1 behind a strong pitching performance in 10 innings. FSU needed this win to get a bit of momentum but also because it’s important to win the series you’re favored in.

• For the second time in as many days Florida State got a great starting pitching performance. Shane Drohan threw 5.1 innings of one run, one hit ball while striking out six. His only blemish was four walks on the day but he was able to do enough to keep Notre Dame off the board.
