The No. 25 Florida State Seminoles (32-18, 16-11 ACC) won the series opener, 8-2 against the Richmond Spiders (25-20-1, 11-7 A10) on Friday evening.

In the victory, the junior improved to 7-4, his most wins in a season as a Seminole. He is now tied with Conor Grady for the team lead in victories.
