The Florida State Seminoles (42-22) fell to the Michigan Wolverines (48-20) in its second game of the College World Series by a 2-0 final score. Tonight’s loss continues the streak of the Seminoles failing to go 2-0 in Omaha since 1989.
Three up
- Florida State’s bullpen did everything they could to try and keep the Seminoles in this one. Chase Haney pitched great and kept the Seminoles within reach of Michigan. In relief of Van Eyk, the right-hander, pitched 2.1 innings, struck out two, walked zero, and didn’t allow a hit. Jonah Scolaro picked up right where Haney left off striking out all six batters he faced in the eighth and ninth innings.
