3 Up, 3 Down: FSU drops final game of the series to Wake Forest

The Florida State Seminoles (28-15, 14-10) dropped the final game of the series to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (26-19, 12-12) in a 16-12 loss.

  • Florida State’s offense is still red hot and the ’Noles scored in four straight innings from the second through fifth innings. In Sunday’s finale, Florida State walked seven times, produced 16 hits and 12 runs, but struck out nine times.
  • Robby Martin is back after struggling over a stretch of the season. Martin had a game-high four hits and hit his second home run of the weekend in the fifth inning to cut the ’Noles deficit to, 5-4:
