The long wait is almost over.
Florida State plays football next Saturday, kicking off its ACC title defense and campaign to make the first-ever 12-team playoff with an overseas matchup against Georgia Tech.
The Seminoles will not be a finished product when they take the field in Ireland; a football team is a constant work in progress, a point echoed by defensive coordinator Adam Fuller who stated he wants his team playing their best football in November. Even with the knowledge that tweaks will continue and progress isn’t linear, through three weeks of fall camp, the identity of the 2024 team is taking shape, and on both sides of the ball it looks different than the undefeated squad last season.
