The Seminoles ended the 2023 season with a gaping hole at defensive end. Opposite of their returning stud Patrick Payton, Florida State saw All-American Jared Verse’s name called in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Due to poor high school recruiting, the Seminoles were forced to turn to the transfer portal, once again, to fill the need.
