With National Signing Day coming up in Wednesday, the attention of many Seminole fans is trained firmly on completing the 2020 class. But it’s never too early to land a commitment from a future class, especially when that prospect is a bell-cow quarterback.
And that’s just what FSU got to start the week this morning when 2021 QB Luke Altmyer verbally pledged to the ’Noles. A three-star prospect from Starkville High School in Mississippi, Altmyer (6’2, 190) has been a target of Florida State’s new offensive coordinator, Kenny Dillingham, his primary recruiter.
Altmyer committing to a team helmed by Mike Norvell shouldn’t come as a huge surprise— Memphis was the first team to offer him, just over a year ago, back when Norvell was the head man with the Tigers.
