Garnering elite talent is always a must for a school, but when that talent happens to overlap two major programs, well, that’s another thing altogether. Florida State recently encountered a confluence of those events, as blue-chip prospect Malachi Wideman has pledged his services to the Seminoles.
Wideman (6’4, 180) is a four-star recruit on both the gridiron as a reciever and on the hardwood as a shooting guard. In addition to FSU, he also has football offers from Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Kentucky, and NC State, along with several other schools.
But Wideman had gained attention from several other notable names, too— and that includes some famous cagers.
