Florida State (1-8, 1-7) saw its losing streak extended to five on Saturday, as FSU’s latest loss — a 38-11 blowout to North Carolina — matched the program’s worst season since 1974.

Despite FSU leading 3-0 at the end of the first, a pair of Tar Heels second-quarter touchdowns essentially sent the game to garbage time at 14-3.

“We’ve just been pretty bad, obviously, in complementary football, and just not creating takeaways, obviously turning the football over, the 3rd downs,” head coach Mike Norvell said following the loss. “Really today, in all aspects, the game got away from us.
