Four-star 2016 Philadelphia (PA) Imhotep Institute tight end Naseir Upshur battled severe weather and some other hurdles late this week, delaying his visit to the Florida State football training facility by a day.
However, Upshur said the visit with his father and brothers was well worth the wait.
"I was flabbergasted during the visit," Upshur told Noles247.com on Friday.
The Seminoles' top target at the tight end position, the 6-foot-2, 233-pounder spent a great deal of time with primary recruiter and tight ends coach Tim Brewster during his all-day visit. He also had a chance to have a sit-down chat with head coach Jimbo Fisher.
Ranked as the #152 overall prospect and #5 tight end in the Class of 2016, Upshur will visit South Carolina on his way home.
Florida State, the aforementioned South Carolina and Michigan are considered the favorites for Upshur at this juncture. He also has interest in Alabama, Arizona State, Maryland, Temple and USC.
