Florida State Seminoles starting quarterback Jameis Winston is slated to have a disciplinary hearing for potential violations of the university's code of conduct on November 17th. However, his attorney, David Cornwell, submitted a formal request on Thursday for a delay in order to prepare for the hearing.
The actual amount of time requestion is unknown as of this writing.
Per Kevin McGuire of NBC's College Football Talk, "the extension request was not taken too kindly by John Clune, an attorney representing the accuser. Per an ESPN.com report, Clune suggested Winston’s attorney “obviously doesn’t want his client to ever do this hearing.”'
Winston faces four possible violations of FSU's code of conduct per his involvement in an alleged sexual assault two years ago. The hearing is currently scheduled to take place between Florida State's ACC games against the Miami Hurricanes and Boston College Eagles.
