Florida State Seminoles offensive lineman Cameron Erving was named the Jacobs Blocking Award winner for the second-straight year. The award is handed out annually to the most outstanding blocker in all of the ACC.
“For Cam to win the Jacobs again for the second straight year is a tremendous accomplishment and very well deserving,” Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher said in a prepared statement, via Andrea Adelson of ESPN.com. “His versatility from tackle to center and all the things he does for our line from the leadership and experience really makes him one of the great ones out there.”
The six-foot-five, 308-pound senior earned the award after playing both tackle and center for the Seminoles this year. Erving had started 37 games in a row at left tackle, but was moved to center before the Miami game on 11/15 in order to help stabilized the weakest point on the team's offensive line.
