The addition of Sergei Bobrovsky last offseason was supposed to the punch the Florida Panthers ticket to the playoffs. Things haven’t gone as smoothly as they had planned.

Hopes were high for the Florida Panthers entering 2019-20. Having added two-time Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky to shore up their goaltending, they seemed poised to become serious playoff contenders.
Instead, the Panthers once again find themselves struggling to remain in wild-card contention in the Eastern Conference. Bobrovsky's been inconsistent between the pipes while the defense lacks stability. Their once-potent offense —powered by under-appreciated stars Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau — has floundered since early February.
