The 2015 IIHF World Men’s Ice Hockey Gold Medal and Bronze Medal Games took place today with D Aaron Ekblad (Canada), F Jaromir Jagr (Czech Republic) and D Dmitry Kulikov (Russia) representing their respective countries.
In his first career World Championship tournament, Ekblad earned a Gold Medal in Team Canada’s 6-1 victory over Team Russia. Canada finished the Tournament with a perfect 10-0 record to win their first World Championship Gold Medal since 2007.
Kulikov earned his second World Championship Silver Medal in Team Russia’s loss to Canada.
Jagr and host team Czech Republic fell 3-0 to Team USA in the Bronze Medal game earlier in the day, exiting the tournament with a fourth-place finish.
