The Florida Panthers remain off until Thursday. Their next opponent, the Washington Capitals (4-1-3) suffered its first loss regulation this season, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Tampa Bay Lightning at AMALIE Arena. It would’ve been nice if the Capitals could’ve picked up the regulation in win that one, instead the Bolts have won three in a row, and are now six points behind the Cats with each team having played nine games. Both the Panthers and Capitals will be well-rested for the upcoming game as Washington also gets Tuesday and Wednesday night off. The Capitals have rotated wins and losses this season and if they stick to that formula they will be due for a win against the Cats, so Florida will need to bring it’s “A” game to FLA Live Arena.
