The Florida Panthers get a true day off from hockey on this Tuesday. The Cats will return to the ice with an 11 a.m. practice at Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs tomorrow morning.
Up next for the Cats is the Washington Capitals on Thursday night at the BB&T Center. The Caps currently lead the NHL with 25 points and sport a 11-2-3 record. Home ice might not be much of an advantage for the Panthers as Washington is a stellar 7-1-1 on the road.
John Carlson leads the Capitals with 23 points (7G/16A) and Alex Ovechkin has fired in a team-leading 11 goals.
