The Florida Panthers are hosting the 2015 NHL Entry Draft on Friday and Saturday at the BB&T Center in Sunrise. This is the second time that the draft has been held in South Florida. The Panthers also hosted the event in 2001, bringing fans to their feet by trading for Valeri Bure, brother of former Cats superstar Pavel Bure, and drafting Stephen Weiss with the fourth overall pick.
This time around the Panthers hold the 11th pick in the first round. General Manager Dale Tallon has made great selections in the past few drafts, with Florida having two of the past three winners of the NHL’s Calder Trophy, given to the league’s top rookie.
