The Florida Panthers finally got down to a league-mandated 23-man roster yesterday by placing Bogdan Kiselevich on injured reserve, where he joined Jamie McGinn, and Josh Brown on season-opening injured reserve.
Kiselevich is pushing to play in Saturday night’s season-opener, so the Cats will have to make another move for that to happen. Maxim Mamin, Denis Malgin and Jacob MacDonald are the players that would be waivers exempt according to capfriendly.
The NHL opened regular season play last night and the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals kindly did the Panthers a favor by blasting the Boston Bruins 7-0 on home ice.
