Streaks come to an aburpt end in Penguins 5-0 drubbing of Pirates

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton does Michael Scott proud to bring Portland's six-game winning streak to end.

Two first period power-play goals sparked the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins portlandto an easy 5-0 win over the Portland Pirates Saturday at Cross Insurance Arena. The loss snapped Portland's six-game winning streak and goaltender Mike McKenna saw his 13-game run of victories come to an unceremonious end.

Scott Wilson and Tom Sestito scored power-play goals 1:56 to make the Pirates' Rocco Grimaldi and John McFarland pay for their minors. Wilson's goal came with both players sitting in the penalty box.
