The National Hockey League’s three-day slate of exhibition games ended yesterday with the final three tune-up games played in Edmonton and Toronto.
The Nashville Predators got a pair of goals from Viktor Arvidsson and Juuse Saros and Pekka Rinne combined for a 26-save shutout in a 2-0 win over the Dallas Stars at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
Boone Jenner, Zach Werenski, Gustav Nyquist and Alexandre Texier scored, and Joonas Korpisalo and Elvis Merzlikins combined for 23 saves for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a rather easy 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins.
