SUNRISE (CBSMiami) – The Florida Panthers are planning on making a big change in time for the 2016-17 season.
According to George Richards of the Miami Herald, the Panthers organization is planning on “completely rebranding” itself with a brand new logo and a possible new color scheme.
The report states that the team colors, which have been the same red-blue-gold since the team’s inception in the early 90s, will remain “similar”, but that leaves a lot of room for changes.
The Panthers logo, known as the ‘leaping cat’, has been the same since Florida’s inaugural season in 1993.
