The Florida Panthers roster might look set for now, but there are always some potential improvements. The Cats have gone through this process before, yet it hasn’t really panned out.
Last season, Dale Tallon signed former Edmonton Oilers center Mark Letestu to a PTO contract. Letestu had come off a bad end of a season in 2017-18 with the Columbus Blue Jackets, scoring just 1 goal with 3 assists in 20 games after being traded at the deadline.
Letestu stuck with the team throughout camp but wound up never playing a game for the Panthers, and rejoining the Jackets to play just two regular-season games before being sent down to the AHL.
