The Portland Pirates collected three out of a possible four points this weekend in road games in Providence and Bridgeport. The P-Bruins edged the Pirates 3-2 in overtime on Friday night before Portland bounced back to nip the Sound Tigers 2-1 on Saturday.

Seth Griffith beat Mike McKenna unassisted 1:35 into overtime to give the P-Bruins a 3-2 win. After a scoreless first period, defenseman Sena Acolatse opened the scoring at 13:53 of the second from Wayne Simpson and Rob Schremp. Providence evened the game with 40 seconds left in frame on a power-play tally from Brandon DeFazio.
