Panthers sign Henrik Haapala and Maxim Mamin

According to reports, the Florida Panthers have come to terms with Finnish forward Henrik Haapala and KHLer Maxim Mamin.

The shifty Haapala led Finland’s Liiga in scoring last season with 60 points (15G/45A) in 51 regular season games. The undrafted 23-year-old signed a two-year entry-level contract with performance bonuses. Haapala has played with Tappara Tampere in the top division for the last five seasons. His size (5’9” - 176 lbs) is a bit of concern, but the offensive skills are there.

Mamin was drafted by the Panthers in sixth round (175th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
