The Quebec Remparts scored three times in the first 13:27 to chase goaltender Phillipe Desrosiers en route to a 4-1 win over Rimouski. The victory gave the Remparts a two games to none lead in the QMJHL President's Cup final with the series shifting to Quebec City for games three and four.
Adam Erne, Kurt Etchegary (shorthanded) and Matt Murphy did the damage in the opening frame, sending Desrosiers to the bench in favor of Louis-Philip Guindon.
After scoring the first goal, Erne picked up assists on the second and third. Arizona Coyotes prospect Anthony Duclair also drew two assists in the outburst.
