Panthers acquire Michael Sgarbossa from Ducks for Logan Shaw

The Florida Panthers have traded forward Logan Shaw to the Anaheim Ducks for Michael Sgarbossa.

Sgarbossa is an undrafted 24-year-old forward with a pretty stout AHL resume and 19 games of NHL experience.

The Campbellville, ON native has played in nine games (0G/2A) with the Ducks this season. He also suited up for two games with their AHL, affiliate, the San Diego Gulls, notching one goal.

Sgarbossa will be assigned to the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Shaw was drafted by the Panthers back in 2011 (76th overall). Last season, he played in 53 games for the Cats and registered 5 goals and 2 assists before he was assigned to the Portland Pirates.
