The Florida Panthers are deep at the center position, so much so that it could lead to some players that have the ability to play at the NHL level forced to start the year in the minors or forced to play the wing.
One of those players may be Kyle Rau, who is coming off his first full season in professional hockey. The former third round pick of the Panthers back in 2011 scored 31 points (17 G, 14 A) in 63 games with the their top affiliate, San Antonio, as well as getting a nine game audition with the big club (didn’t register a point), making the shift to the wing in the process.
