Oceanic staves off elimination by beating its QMJHL rival. Rematch tonight.
Michael Joly scored a goal and added three assists and Philippe Desrosiers made 27 saves to lead the Rimouski Oceanic to a 4-0 victory over the Quebec Remparts at the 2015 Mastercard Memorial Cup last night.
The decision left Rimouski, Quebec and Kelowna all with 1-2 round-robin records, forcing a tiebreaker. The Rockets won the breaker to claim second place and a spot in the Friday's semifinal game. The Oceanic and Remparts will meet again tonight at 7:30 pm for the other semifinal spot.
