It’s official, the Florida Panthers have named Bob Boughner as the club’s new head coach, replacing Gerard Gallant and interim bench boss Tom Rowe.
Boughner comes to the Panthers from the San Jose Sharks, where he was an assistant to former Florida head coach Peter DeBoer the last two seasons.

Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Bob Boughner(BOOG-nur)has been named the club’s new head coach.
“After an exhaustive search, we are pleased to welcome Bob as the new head coach of the Panthers,” said Tallon.
