The inconsistent, injury-riddled Florida Panthers (12-10-4) return home to face the rising Detroit Red Wings (13-7-5) tonight at FLA Live Arena. Florida is back in the Sunshine State and looking to gain ground in the standings after going 2-2-1 on a road trip that saw stops in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle and Winnipeg. The Red Wings enter having posted consecutive wins including Tuesday’s 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena. Detroit is currently in third place in the Atlantic Division, three points ahead of the Cats, who’d love to pick up a win in the first meeting between the two clubs this season.
