SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced today that “Try Hockey for Free” clinics in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties wrapped up this season with a 76-percent retention rate, up 10-percent from last year. More than 150 children participated in the program this season.
“Try Hockey for Free” clinics were held at the Florida Panthers IceDen (Broward County), Palm Beach Skate Zone & Palm Beach Ice Works (Palm Beach County) and Kendall Ice Arena (Miami-Dade County) from January to early April.
“The Florida Panthers know how important it is to grow the game and put sticks in kids hands in South Florida,” Panthers Executive Chairman Peter Luukko said.
