The Panthers selected diminutive forward Denis Malgin in the fourth round of the 2015 Entry Draft after the youngster scored 5 goals and 12 assists in 38 games for the ZSC Lions, where was a teammate of Auston Matthews, of the Swiss National League A.
After a strong training camp, and injuries to other players, Malgin surprisingly found himself on the Cats roster to begin the 2016-17 season.
