This season was frustrating for Dale Tallon and the Florida Panthers. The team seemed primed to take the next step and be the top wild-card team in the East after a promising end to 2017-18’s season, which saw the Cats miss the playoffs by a mere point.
This year didn’t bring the same fortunes. Inconsistent defense and goalie situations, as well as a lack of depth scoring (outside of Frank Vatrano’s 24 goals) saw the Panthers eliminated from playoff contention with three weeks left in the regular season.
To avenge this season, the Panthers are going to need to sever some ties.
