Jayce likes to prove people wrong about smaller guys in the league. Feisty is the best word I could use to describe him. Hawryluk battles for every inch of ice he takes, and he does so happily. Despite suffering a broken hand in a fight prior to the start of the season, Hawryluk has stated that he won’t let that stop him from fighting again.
When he finally returned to Springfield, the 21-year-old rookie put up 26 points in 47 games, placing 6th on the team while maintaining a +5 rating. He has shown that when his hands are in his gloves and on his stick, he can be an effective player in pro level play.
