With the 15th pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the Florida Panthers selected forward Grigori Denisenko from the KHL. Currently 17 years of age, Denisenko will be celebrating his 18th birthday on Sunday, June 24th.
The 5’10”, 172lb left-winger featured in 31 MHL (Molodyozhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga)games for Loko Yaroslavl this year, tallying 9G, 13A, and 22 points. During the playoffs, Grigori recorded 5G, 2A, and 7 points in 12 games, leading Loko Yaroslavl to a championship title.
Internationally, Denisenko represented his home nation of Russia at both the Hlinka Memorial Tournament and the Under-19 World Junior A Challenge (WJAC-19).
