Led by captain Derek MacKenzie, the Cats are hopeful to reach the playoffs for the second time in three seasons. After undergoing a tumultuous, incredibly unsuccessful 2016-17 campaign, the Cats will subsequently be coached by newly appointed bench boss Bob Boughner. The Panthers underwent an organizational change where Dale Tallon was renamed GM and Tom Rowe was consequently demoted to a smaller front office role (rightfully so).
Dale has redesigned the Cats forward group, as he’s gotten rid of several key forwards. Eventually replacing them with Evgeny Dadonov, Radim Vrbata, Owen Tippett and Micheal Haley; as well as others within the organization that will have a tremendous opportunity of making the club.
