On Saturday, Feb. 23, after a crushing victory over the Los Angeles Kings, it was reported that the Florida Panthers had reached an agreement with forward Frank Vatrano on a three-year, $7.59 million deal, worth $2.53 million annually.
Originally, the Panthers acquired Vatrano last year on Feb. 22 from Boston, in exchange for a 2018 third-round draft pick. Since his arrival in Sunrise, Vatrano has been nothing but a delight to watch.
Featuring in 16 games for the first time as a member of the Panthers, Vatrano got off to a hot start offensively, finishing the remainder of the season with 5G, 3A, and 8 points next to his name.
