At the beginning of the free agency period, Dale Tallon was able to strike a deal with familiar face: Radim Vrbata. Both sides agreed on a one-year-deal worth approximately 2.5 million with much of his salary incentive-based, meaning that Vrbata must work for his money and will be determined to not only upstart the Cats offense, but also collect a pay check as well in the process.
The recently turned 36-year-old veteran, experienced a surprisingly successful year for himself when many expected the aging, yet skilled forward to decline at the back-end of his career. However, Radim proved the critics wrong as he registered an impressive line of 20G and 35A for 55 points.
