The Florida Panthers have qualified for the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Panthers earned a berth in the postseason with Boston’s 6-4 loss to Chicago today. It marks the fifth playoff appearance in team history and the first since 2011-12.
The Panthers established a new franchise high for wins (44) with last night’s 4-3 victory against Montreal. Florida’s 97 points (44-25-9) are one shy of matching the franchise mark set in the 1999-00 season.
