SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that defenseman Dylan Olsen has been assigned to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates.
The 25-year old Olsen has played in eight games with Florida this season registering one assist. Olsen has played in 124 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks (2011-13) and Panthers recording 22 points (5-17-22).
The 6-foot-2, 223-pound, native of Calgary, Alberta has played 19 games with Portland this season recording eight points (2-6-8). Olsen was originally drafted by Chicago in the first round (28th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
