SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that club has acquired forward Teddy Purcell from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a 2016 third round draft pick.
The 30-year old Purcell has recorded 32 points (11-21-32) in 61 games with Edmonton this season. Purcell has played in 544 NHL games recording 294 points (98-196-294) for Edmonton (2014-16), Tampa Bay (2009-2014) and Los Angeles (2007-2010).
The St. John’s, Newfoundland native has recorded 18 points (7-11-18) in 22 career postseason games.
