SUNRISE, Fla.- Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have acquired forwards Paul Thompson and Graham Black from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Florida's 2018 second round pick and Marc Savard.
The 27-year-old Thompson played in three NHL games with the Devils last season. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Methuen, Mass., recorded 13-22-35 in 56 games with the Albany Devils (AHL) in 2015-16. He added 3-1-4 in 10 playoff games.
The 23-year-old Black played in 50 games with the Albany Devils last season and posted 7-2-9. He added 2-2-4 in five playoff games.
