Florida Panthers General Manager Tom Rowe announced today that the Panthers have acquired defenseman Mark Pysyk and a 2016 second and third round pick (38th and 89th overall) from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and Florida’s second round pick (33rd overall), previously acquired from Vancouver.
The 24-year old Pysyk recorded 11 points (1-10-11) in 55 games this season with Buffalo. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Sherwood Park, Alberta has recorded 26 points (5-21-26) in 125 career games all with Buffalo (2012-16).
Pysyk was originally selected by Buffalo in the first round (23rd overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
